Short Information

JEE Main 2026 is the national-level computer-based test conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Plan programmes at NITs (31 institutes), IIITs (26), Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and select state-funded universities that admit through JEE Main scores. The exam runs in two sessions (January and April) and the best of the two NTA scores is used for ranking. JoSAA conducts joint seat allocation across NITs, IIITs and CFTIs through 6 counselling rounds. CSAB Special Rounds fill any vacant seats. JEE Main is also the qualifying step for the more competitive JEE Advanced (IIT) examination.
