Short Information

IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) 2026 is the national-level entrance examination conducted by IIT Madras for the 2026–27 cycle, on a rotational basis among IITs and IISc, for admission to M.Sc. (2-year), M.Sc.-PhD Dual Degree, M.Sc.-M.Tech, M.Sc.-M.S. (Research), Joint M.Sc.-PhD and other postgraduate science programmes at all 23 IITs and IISc Bangalore. JAM also unlocks select admissions to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs through their respective JAM-accepting programmes. Test papers cover Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics. Counselling is centralised via the JOAPS portal.
