Short Information

IIST 2026 admission is conducted by the Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology, Thiruvananthapuram — India's premier space-science research and education institute under the Department of Space — for B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, and Engineering Physics, plus the Dual Degree (B.Tech + Master's) programme. Admission is solely through JEE Advanced 2026 score; IIST runs its own counselling separately from JoSAA. Selected students are sponsored under the ISRO Service Bond and on graduation may be absorbed into ISRO and its constituent units. Foreign nationals can apply through a separate International Channel.
